In the dark room we shadow our sorrows
Praying lies to the verted symbols
And stepping down from these pedestals
That we hold so dear,
That keep us from drowning in faith.
An eye for an eye
For no two eyes can have the same sight.
Distorting perception
And folding absolutism.
Each clasps his own hand tightly.
Each man separate from the manacle whispers;
Hold their own in flexible belief
And logical outstanding;
Although responsible for his devil-less sins,
Is a free man
